Classroom-Approved Amazon Footwear for Teachers Who Trip (Often)

Updated: Jun 30

So here we are—summer’s halfway over, and I’ve decided to stop pretending I won’t eventually have to wear real shoes again. You know, the ones with actual soles (not souls because I no longer have one of those) and structure? Goodbye, fuzzy socks, flip-flops and bare feet. Hello, supportive footwear I’ll wear for 12 hours straight while dodging hallway traffic and recovering from the day's chaos. These summer days are flying by (way too fast), I’ve started slowly searching for a few back-to-school must-haves, only if they are on sale. That means shoes...

If you know anything about me, it’s that I have a serious thing for shoes and most likely wedges instead of heels. I absolutely don’t need more, but I will justify it in the name of education. I’m not the most graceful, and balance is not my strength. I tend to fall, trip over invisible lines, and stumble through life, both figuratively and literally. So the thicker the heel, the less likely I am to face-plant while carrying a stack of supplies and a coffee I swore I wouldn’t spill this time on my white blouse. So yeah, wedges are my ride-or-die. Thick heels=less falling, more strutting. (I say that with full awareness that I still will trip, but at least I’ll be wearing cute shoes.)

Person slipping on air in a school hallway, holding a box. Green lockers on the side, visible sign "1400 Hall," text reads "STAY GROUNDED."
This fall was brought to you by poor balance and misplaced confidence. Real Footage of me returning from winter break.

Amazon Prime Day is July 8–11! Because let’s be honest. We can never have too many shoes. It counts as a business expense.
